Indianapolis spent Day 2 of the draft grabbing Tight Ends for Andrew Luck to throw to as they picked up Dwayne Allen from Clemson and Coby Fleener, Luck’s former teammate at Stanford. The Colts also added Florida International product T.Y. Hilton, a perfect fit for the team as a speedy slot Wide Receiver. The Rams had three second rounders and they used them to acquire WR Brian Quick (Appalachian State), CB Janoris Jenkins (North Alabama) and RB Isaiah Pead (Cincinnati) along with C Trumaine Johnson (Montana) in the third round. Other than that, the big news on Day 2 was the Denver Broncos tabbing Arizona State QB Brock Osweiler as their quarterback of the future by taking him in the second round. Share this image: Osweiler (6’7” 242 lbs) is known for his arm strength but the rest of his skills are quite raw, making him the perfect candidate to groom behind Peyton Manning the next few years. Here are some things to look for on Day 3 in Rounds 4-7: The best players left on the board include OT Bobby Massie (Ole Miss), LB Ronnell Lewis (Oklahoma), RB Lamar Miller (Miami), DE Jared Crick (Nebraska) and CB Brandon Boykin (Georgia). Expect these guys to fly off the board and for teams to potentially trade their way into position to take one of these players early in the fourth round. Small School Steals: Some of the prospects being taken in on the third and final day are going to be from small schools with relatively unknown football programs. That doesn’t mean they won’t be major contributors at some point in their NFL careers. So keep your eyes out for LB Delano Johnson (Bowie State), DT Damon Harrison (William Penn) and CB Asa Jackson (Cal Poly). Passing is At a Premium: With the aforementioned Osweiler, Russell Wilson (Wisconsin) and Nick Foles (Arizona) being selected on Friday night, it will be interesting to see if teams attempt to move up to grab the next man under center.Watch draft day Full Movie HD Quality
And when they do, will Kirk Cousins (Michigan St.) or B.J. Coleman (UT-Chatanooga) be the next QB taken? After all, one of these guys could be your teams next quarterback in waiting. Mr. Irrelevant: One of the highlights of the NFL Draft is the anointing of the title ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ to the last player selected. Will the Colts take a player at Pick No. 253 from a big time program that was overlooked or will they go along with the true spirit of the pick and make the dreams of some unknown kid come true? Either way, be sure to tune in to NFL Network at 12 Noon EST so you don’t miss out on any of the action.Watch draft day Full Movie HD Quality
